The nuts and bolts of Fillmore local government

Many of you may know that I started a blog in 2006 to discuss issues in Fillmore. Here it is five years later and I am starting a new blog as the Mayor.

Sometimes the inner workings of City Hall can seem complicated and mysterious. I hope to shed some light on some of the Council actions and decisions.

At our last Council meeting on January 11th, we selected our committee and liaison appointments. These are the committees I will be serving on:

  • Finance Committee
  • Towne Theatre Ad-hoc Committee
  • Chloride Committee
  • Senior Center
  • Ventura County City Selection Committee
  • Heritage Valley Toursim Bureau
  • Fillmore Unified School District Alternate
There are 28 total committees and boards that the Council serves on. This represents a lot of time and effort on behalf of the community by the Council and other citizens. We do have a wonderful, vibrant City thanks to all.
